Mid Essex is an outstanding school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme, which has been training teachers in Essex for 25 years. Since 2014, Mid Essex ITT has been based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form, but works with 20 different schools across the county.
The teacher training course lasts one year and alongside QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), you will also receive a PGCE accredited by the University of Greenwich. For September 2020, there are 60 spaces available to train in 16 different subjects. Many subjects are also eligible for a government funded bursary of up to £28,0000. Full or part-time training courses are available, along with the ‘Assessment Only’ route for staff already teaching in schools.
If you are looking for a route into teaching in Essex, we’d love to hear from you.
Mid Essex ITT was recognised as 'outstanding' in all categories by Ofsted in October 2017.
