Notley High School

Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form is a very successful and heavily over-subscribed comprehensive school situated in Braintree, Essex. Our aim is to be an outstanding school providing the highest quality education for all our students.

In 2005 Notley High School was designated as a High Performing Specialist School and this made it possible for the school to apply to the Learning and Skills Council for 11-19 status. It was decided to set up a Sixth Form for the whole of the Braintree area, rather than just for Notley High School students. A learning partnership was established between Notley High School, Alec Hunter Academy, Honywood Community Science School and Tabor Academy.

The Sixth Form opened in September 2009, housed in a brand new purpose built centre funded by a grant of £6 million from the Learning and Skills Council.

Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form gained Academy status in August 2011.
